This EP is called Silver Bullet and it is my second release since I started being really careful about my hearing. If you liked my music from before, you'll be happy to know that my influences haven't changed, and I make music with pretty much the same approach as I did before. The difference is that I keep everything super-quiet while I'm working and, perhaps more noticeably, I don't fiddle around with frequencies on synthesisers any more; I work out melodies on acoustic instruments instead and record myself playing them. It's a method that's come about from having problems with tinnitus, but I really like the results and I've completely settled into it now.

This is also the second EP which features a collaboration with Kate Stables from This Is The Kit (courtesy of Rough Trade)*. Silver Bullet is a pretty different song to the last one, and is certainly a lot more laidback than Say You Did, but I've got a lot of affection for both of them. I think I'm right in saying that Silver Bullet is Kate's favourite of the songs we made together though, if that makes any difference to you. The other three songs are along the lines of my usual sort of thing, but definitely some of my personal favourites, so I'm super proud of this EP and I hope you enjoy it.
